Does it hurt ?

Not at all. Our special little fish have no teeth, they cant bite, they simply suck the dry dead skin away from your body to reveal smooth soft new skin.

Who thought of using fish ?

Garra rufa fish were first found in natural turkish streams 300 years ago where bathers have been visiting for many years due to the healing properties of the fish treatment. Fish spa's are now popping up all over the world.

Is it hygenic ?

Our "state of the art" aquariums have an amazing biological and mechanical triple filter system which is constently purifying the water, killing 99.9% of bacteria so it is totally hygenic. Our fish cannot pass on any diseases to humans.

What Benefits does it have ?

Your skin will be softer and smoother and dry cracked skin will improve greatly. The treatment is exellent for diabetics as our fish stimulate the circulation in the feet. Skin condition can be improved with regular use of the spa due to the enzymes the fish produce whilst they are cleaning up your feet. the enzyme has a softening effect on yor skin. Psoriasis and Eczema can also be improved.

What does it feel like ?

The fish treatment feels like lots of tiny vibrations all over your skin. It can feel tickely to start with as the fish can get quite excited so it may make you laugh out loud but we could all do with a giggle now and then, you will soon relax in body and mind and enjoy the gentle sensations. All our clients leave the salon feeling invigorated and stimulated.

Can any one use the Spa ?

To protect our fish and keep them happy and healthy You will not be able to use the Spa if you have a skin infection such as Athletes foot, any open wounds or sores, if are using topical cream or lotion for verrucas or you have had a spray tan within the last 2 weeks. Children under 12 will not be able to use the spa for our fishes safety.

Before your treatment - Please do not apply moisturiser or lotion of any kind to your hands or feet as this will prevent the fish from working. they don't like the taste and may not come near you so you will of wasted your session.
